Clara Gentili Altomare… the  inspiration of Gentili’s and our “Love of Food”

Originally from a little town called Bomba in Chietti,  Abruzzi and raised in South Philly where food was the epicenter of her family. She lived life making her family and friends happy gathered around her table with AMAZING food.

Every Sunday there was a huge pot of gravy with meatballs, sausage, and braciole. My family woke up to the smell of sauteed garlic and chicken cutlets in the sautee pan. 

As a kid you never really understand the importance of all the details of food …but watching her tell the butcher to slice the prosciutto really thin, picking out her seeded loaves at the Bakery and carefully

hand-picking her produce at Giordano’s has created our values to serve only the BEST!

As we open our doors in Exton and wherever our journey may take us, we hope you love every bite you take.
